Shiva Sankeerth Reddy Yarradla is a highly skilled and motivated graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at Stony Brook University. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Shiva is actively seeking full-time opportunities in the field of Machine Learning and Software Development, starting from December 2022. Shiva's expertise lies in Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Full Stack Application Development, with a strong focus on Data Science and Machine Learning. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University, Shiva is currently working under Prof. Praveen Tripathi for the course OOP's using Java. Prior to joining Stony Brook, Shiva worked as an NLP Engineer at BeamX TechLabs in India, where he was part of the Data Science R&D team. His role involved building and scaling efficient Machine Learning Systems in the NLP domain, and he had the opportunity to work with industry-leading tools and technologies. Shiva developed chatbots in Rasa and backend RESTful web services using a micro-service architecture. Shiva's past experience includes working as a Machine Learning Researcher at Zoom, where he was a member of the "Contextual Understanding and Predictive Analytics" team. His main responsibilities included researching, implementing, and comparing various Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms to evaluate how confidently a speaker is talking. Shiva successfully launched a model that beat the existing baseline model by 10.4% in Precision, 3.2% in Recall, and 5.2% in F1-score. Shiva has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stony Brook University in the Pervasive Computing and Smart Sensing (PiCASSo) Lab under the guidance of Prof. Shubham Jain. The lab mainly focuses on leveraging multimodal sensing devices for addressing challenges in the space of health and urban communities. Shiva's responsibilities included multimodal data analysis for persons with dementia, detecting when patients are agitated, predicting when these episodes are likely to happen, and assessing the impact of medication on agitation frequency and intensity. Shiva's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Osmania University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
